Representative Holmes moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 6(JUD) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment Nos. 1 and 2. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Holmes, Gardner, Doogan, and Kerttula: Page 2, line 9: Delete "aids, or encourages" Insert "or aids" Representative Holmes moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Lynn objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSHB 6(JUD) Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 20 NAYS: 20 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 2009-04-17 House Journal Page 1070 Yeas: Buch, Cissna, Coghill, Crawford, Doogan, Edgmon, Gara, Gardner, Gruenberg, Guttenberg, Harris, Holmes, Joule, Kawasaki, Kerttula, Munoz, Petersen, Ramras, Salmon, Tuck Nays: Austerman, Chenault, Dahlstrom, Fairclough, Foster, Gatto, Hawker, Herron, Johansen, Johnson, Keller, Kelly, Lynn, Millett, Neuman, Olson, Seaton, Stoltze, Thomas, Wilson Austerman changed from "Yea" to "Nay". Fairclough changed from "Yea" to "Nay". And so, Amendment No. 1 was not adopted. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representatives Holmes, Gardner, Doogan, and Kerttula: Page 2, line 2: Delete "or" Page 2, line 8, following "animal;": Insert "or" Page 2, lines 11 - 12: Delete all material and insert: "(7) intentionally permits sexual conduct with an animal to be conducted on any premises under the person's control." Representative Holmes moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. Representative Lynn objected and withdrew the objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 2 was adopted. CSHB 6(JUD) am was automatically in third reading. The question being: "Shall CSHB 6(JUD) am pass the House?" Representative Lynn later gave notice of reconsideration of the vote on CSHB 6(JUD) am, and reconsideration was taken up then.
